Read Time:2 Minute, 9 Second

Dev Patel is in the news these days for his upcoming film ‘Monkey Man’. The audience is eagerly waiting for the film. Earlier this year, the trailer of ‘Monkey Man’ was released, which created a stir across the world. The action sequences in the trailer caught the attention of the audience and created tremendous excitement among them. Now along with the audience all over the world, the Indian audience is also eager for the release of the film, but now new news has come out for them, which may shock the fans.

The film had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 11, where it received rave reviews. The response received at this film festival further increased its promotion. It is all set to release on April 5 in the United States and other major regions. It was scheduled to release in India on April 19, but its release date has not been revealed in a post shared on social media by Universal Pictures India in the last few days. Instead of the release date, it says ‘coming soon’. Even the release date of the film has disappeared on the ticket app. This has given rise to apprehensions that the film will not be released on April 19.

A report claims that the studio aims to release Monkey Man in Indian theaters on April 19, but it is still pending clearance by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). It was claimed that the studio is looking to bring Monkey Man to Indian theaters on April 19. It all depends on getting approval from CBFC.

The film contains excessive violence and there are fears that some aspects of it may hurt the sentiments of a section of the audience, so the censoring process is expected to take time. Additionally, the Universal Studios team in the USA will also have to approve the changes demanded by the CBFC. Once they approve the local team will make the changes and only then the team will announce the release date.

It was said that if the approval process is completed as planned, ‘Monkey Man’ will be released on Indian screens on April 19. If this does not happen then the release of the film may be delayed and it will be planned to be released on April 26. New information on this will be revealed in the next one week. If the film is not released on April 19, it will be released next week. Apart from Dev Patel, the film also stars Sharlto Copley, Sikandar Kher, Shobhita Dhulipala, Vipin Sharma and others.
