Pankaj Kapur Talk About Shahid Kapoor’s Acting Career
Veteran actor of Hindi cinema Pankaj Kapur did not limit himself to any one type of story telling. He continues to appear in both serious and comedy films. And now he will be seen as a security guard in the crowd of Anubhav Sinha, who is forced to go to his village in the first lockdown due to Covid.
Its hard for me to say. To be honest, it is difficult for any artist to choose like this. I really liked his work in Haider. I liked them very much even in the weather. I have really liked his work in Kabir Singh and Farzi. He is showing that he is getting better as an actor as time goes by. Which is a very happy thing.
I am proud of this. I am also very happy that he is able to make his place in such an environment where he is doing better not only as a star but also as an actor. He will always be in people’s memories. The good thing is that he doesn’t take my opinion on character prep, he colors the characters in his own way.
For the actor fraternity, I still believe that focus on the awareness with which you bring alive the given character. I remain devoted to what the writer and director have created. Director Anubhav made us feel during the shoot that what the migrant workers would have gone through in the circumstances that prevailed after the lockdown? Otherwise we were locked in our homes that year.
I believe that all types of ideologies should be welcomed in films. I have not seen the Kashmir files. But whether it is crowd in the industry or the Kashmir files, whatever has happened around us, we have no control over those incidents. Now, have we as a society tried to find a solution for those incidents and incidents or have we left it on someone else’s responsibility.
I think why watch a film on a political level? Especially why a concept is being made towards the rush which did not release. First it should be seen, then it should be decided. As for the question of Schindler’s List, it is not necessary to mention such films. But you are saying that the world’s biggest film on Hitler’s mentality is The Great Dictator. So there is no bigger film than that on that issue. The funniest thing in that is that both Hitler and Jyu have the same face. There, however, you go mad laughing. So speaking on any issue should be welcome.
