Filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has recently announced his next film ‘Don 3’. Ranveer Singh will be in the lead role in this film. Ever since the announcement of the film, both Farhan and Ranveer are getting trolled. People say that Ranveer is not suiting in this role and he cannot replace Shahrukh. Now Farhan Akhtar has given his reaction about this. He said that he is sure that Ranveer will perform very well as a don.
Farhan, who is going to work on the Don franchise after 12 years, said in an interview to BBC Asian Network, ‘Ranveer is amazing. He is the best for this part. He is also excited and nervous just like you guys. He also thinks that how will he fit into this character played by Amitabh ji and Shah Rukh Khan.
Farhan further said, ‘However, we had gone through a similar emotional process earlier as well. Then there was just Shahrukh Khan instead of Ranveer. Regarding him too, people had said that how can you replace Shah Rukh Khan with Mr. Bachchan. But today you know how much love Shah Rukh has got for that character.
Earlier this character has been played by Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. Amitabh played this character for the first time in Don released in 1978. After this, in 2006, Shah Rukh Khan replaced Amitabh Bachchan in the remake of this film. Along with Shahrukh, Farhan also released its second part ‘Don 2’ in 2011. Now Ranveer Singh will replace Shahrukh Khan from ‘Don 3’.
