The statement of Maharashtra’s Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis came three days ago on the Sushant Singh Rajput case. After his statement, there has been a stir again in this case after three years. Now people associated with CBI say that they had asked for some technical evidence from America to investigate the case.
In 2021, the CBI sent a request to the headquarters of Google and Facebook in California. In this request, the CBI had sought recovery of Sushant’s chats, emails and posts. However, so far no response has been received by the CBI from these institutions. Perhaps for this reason, the real truth of this case has not been revealed to the people till now.
Actually CBI wants recovery of Sushant’s deleted Facebook posts, chats and his emails, it will be known that with whom Sushant had conversation in the last days. Who were they in contact with? What was his mental state?
A CBI official told Hindustan Times on the condition of anonymity – We are still waiting for America’s reaction to these technical evidences. This evidence can help us to take the case to its conclusion. That is why the matter is still in limbo.
According to reports, in November 2021, the CBI had asked the US authority for evidence related to the case information. On this, Sandeep Singh, the lawyer representing Sushant Singh Rajput’s family, has expressed his disappointment.
Sandeep Singh said- I have no information about what the CBI has discussed with the US authority. Yes, it is definitely that CBI is not taking this matter seriously, and wants to finish the case slowly.
There is a treaty between India and America. This is called Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty or MLAT. Under this, both countries can seek each other’s help regarding any of their domestic investigations, apart from this, they can also help each other.
It means to say that if any incident happens in India and America has any role in the investigation of that incident, then the Government of India can absolutely take their help in this matter. Exactly the same thing applies for America.
Talking to Republic India, Devendra Fadnavis said – Whatever information was available in the Sushant case till now, it was based on rumours. Meanwhile some people told us that they have some concrete evidence related to this case.
We spoke to him and asked him to hand over the evidence to the police. Right now all those evidences are being examined. It should be known whether that evidence is correct or not. So I would not like to say anything more right now.
