The makers have finally released the much awaited trailer of Heeramandi. The video gives a glimpse into the mesmerizing universe of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, where every frame is a canvas. The trailer takes us to a time when prostitutes ruled as queens and kings. The series depicts the cultural reality of the eponymous area of Heera Mandi through the stories of prostitutes and their clients, set against the turbulent backdrop of the Indian independence struggle in the 1940s.
The grandeur and brilliance of acting of all the actresses was seen in the series. The series stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Sehgal and Sanjeeda Shaikh as courtesans, who journey from keeping the Nawabs under their control to fighting against British oppression. Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badusha, Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman will play the roles of Nawabs.

The series is produced by Moin Baig and is backed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Prerna Singh. ‘Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ will stream on Netflix from May 1.
