The film ‘Jab We Met’, released in 2007, brought a lot of change in the lives of Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and its director Imtiaz Ali. The film was not only a hit at the box office, it was also highly appreciated by the critics. Kareena is remembered till date for her role in this film.
Now it is heard that after 16 years, plans are being made to make its sequel. According to a report in Times Now, the film is in the development stage these days. Raj Mehta will produce it and soon Imtiaz Ali may also join it.
There is talk that the makers are also talking to Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor regarding this. If both agree to the film, then once-couple Shahid-Kareena can be seen working together after 7 years. Both of them last worked together in ‘Udta Punjab’ released in 2016. However, both of them did not share screen space in the film.
The discussion about the sequel of the film Jab We Met started when the film was re-released in some theaters of Mumbai this year. Seeing the excitement of the fans on this occasion, the makers decided to make its sequel. Earlier, when Shahid was asked whether he would work on its sequel, he had said that it depends on the quality of the script. If it matches the story of the original film then I will definitely do it.
