Indian Gazal Singer Pankaj Udhas Funeral

The demise of ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas has shocked everyone. Pankaj Udhas’s daughter Nayaab Udhas confirmed her father’s demise on her Instagram account in the morning. At the same time, now Nayaab has also given an update on the funeral of the late ghazal singer. Nayaab has posted that the last rites of Pankaj Udhas will be performed on February 27 between 3 to 5 pm at the Hindu Crematorium in Worli, Mumbai.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also paid tribute to Pankaj Udhas. The Honorable Prime Minister posted on Instagram and wrote, ‘We condole the demise of Pankaj Udhas ji, whose singing expressed many emotions and whose ghazals spoke directly to the soul. He was a beacon of Indian music, whose tunes were passed down through generations. I remember my various conversations with him over the years. His demise has left a void in the music world which can never be filled. Condolences to his family and fans. Calmness.’

Famous musician and singer Anoop Jalota has paid tribute to Pankaj Udhas by posting. Anup has shared a picture of himself with the late ghazal singer. With this post he has written in the caption, ‘Shocking. Death of music legend and my friend Pankaj Udhas. We express our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones at this difficult time.

Pankaj Udhas was awarded Padma Shri, the country’s fourth highest civilian award, by the then President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in 2006 for his excellent work. According to the information coming out, the last rites of Pankaj Udhas will be held today.
