Now recently, the Bombay High Court has rejected the pre-arrest bail plea of actress Rakhi Sawant in the FIR filed against her by her estranged husband Adil Durrani. Rakhi’s ex-husband Adil Durrani had filed a complaint, alleging that Rakhi had aired his private, sexually explicit videos on media channels. Justice Sarang Kotwal rejected his petition on Wednesday. Earlier, Rakhi had approached the High Court challenging the Sessions Court order rejecting her pre-arrest bail plea. However, he withdrew his plea when Justice Kotwal told him on February 6 that he was not inclined to grant the relief.
The petition was withdrawn based on a statement from Rakhi’s lawyer. When an unconditional statement is made by a party, and an order is passed by the court on the basis of that statement, it cannot be challenged because the order is passed with the consent of the parties and their statements. However, Rakhi challenged that withdrawal order in the Supreme Court.
Let us tell you that Rakhi Sawant and Adil Durrani got married last year, but this marriage did not last long because there were many differences between them. Her lawyer said that the video taken five years ago was of poor quality and nothing could be seen clearly due to it being blurry.
