Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar reached the temple on his birthday. Son Aarav, sister Alka Hiranandani and niece Simar also visited Mahakal with him. Akshay’s family meditated at Nandi Hall at 2 am on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday. He also participated in Bhasma Aarti. The actor also prayed for the success of his upcoming movie ‘Mission Raniganj’. Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan also participated in the Bhasma Aarti. Badminton player Saina Nehwal also reached Mahakal temple later. She participated in Bhog Aarti.
Earlier, Akshay Kumar had come to Ujjain in October 2021 for the shooting of the film OMG-2. The shooting of the film lasted for a week in Ujjain. Today Mahakal was decorated as a king with hemp, dry fruits, sandalwood, jewelery and flowers. Sheshnag’s silver crown, silver mundamaal and Rudraksha rosary were offered.
