Prabhas starrer Adipurush released on June 16 surrounded by controversies. Although its effect is not being seen on the collection of the film. On the second day, the worldwide collection of the film stood at Rs 100 crore and the domestic collection stood at Rs 176 crore. In this way, the film earned 240 crores in two days and entered the 200 crore club.
The worldwide collection of the film was 140 crores on the first day. In this way, there has been a 40% drop in the collection of the film on the second day. However, with its earnings, Adipurush has left behind films like Pathan, Bahubali and KGF 2, which took 3-7 days to reach the worldwide 200 crore club.
Trade expert Taran Ardash said, the jump in the film’s earnings is being seen because of the tremendous advance booking of the film. Another big reason is that the subject of the film was Ramayana, which every citizen likes to watch.
Taran Ardash further said- Hindi origin film Adipurush could beat RRR and KGF 2 in terms of earnings in the opening day collection. This film could have set a new trend in Bollywood. People could have been made to realize that filmmakers sitting in Mumbai can also make good films.
The film faced a lot of trolling for poor VFX. There is a scene in the film in which Saif Ali Khan as Ravana is seen lying among the pythons. Mims are also being made about this on social media. People say that Om Raut’s Ravana also takes Python massage. Apart from this, there is another scene in which Ravana is wielding a hammer wearing a welding mask on his face. Even on this scene, question marks are being raised on the thinking of the makers.
The trend of VFX is not new in Indian cinema. VFX was first used in Indian cinema in the film Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha. Both the films of Bahubali series would not have been possible if VFX were not there. Both these films created history in Indian cinema.
