The work on RRR 2, the sequel of the blockbuster pan-India film RRR has started. Recently, Vijayendra Prasad, father of the film RRR screenwriter and director SS Rajamouli, gave information about the upcoming sequel of RRR. He told that the work of the film is in the pipeline. This time also in RRR 2, Ram Charan and Junior NTR will be seen in lead roles.
Screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad also told that SS Rajamouli will not be the director of the sequel of the film. However, Rajamouli will still be associated with the project in a supervisor role. He also told that the story of the sequel of the film will not be directly related to the first film. But, this time also the storyline of the film can be related to the British Raj and India’s freedom struggle.
Talking to a Telugu TV channel, Vijayendra Prasad also told that Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu are working together on a project. At the same time, Rajamouli is also preparing to make a film on Mahabharata. The shooting of RRR 2 will start only after the completion of both these projects. Talking to the TV channel, Vijayendra Prasad said – We are preparing for the sequel of RRR. In this film also we will cast both Ram Charan and Junior NTR. This film will be of Hollywood standard.
Apart from Ram Charan and Junior NTR, Ajay Devgan, Shriya Saran and Alia Bhatt also worked in the film RRR. The film was released in March last year and earned around Rs 1300 crore worldwide at the box office. The film’s popular dance number Natu-Natu also received the Oscar Award in the Best Original Song category.
Recently director SS Rajamouli told during an event that if he ever makes a film on Mahabharata then how would that film be. Talking to his sister’s husband Dr. AV Guruva Reddy, Rajamouli told that if he ever makes a film on Mahabharata But if he comes, he would like to film the entire Mahabharata in 10 different parts.
