Salman Khan ‘Prem Ki Shaadi’ Has Been Shelved?

The duo of superstar Salman Khan and director Sooraj Barjatya has given many blockbuster films together. Together they have made great films like ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!’, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’. The pair was once again ready to work their magic on the audience at the box office, but now the news is that their upcoming project has been shelved.

Only last year, filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya had confirmed that he is going to direct ‘Prem Ki Shaadi’. Also, Salman had hinted that the iconic character ‘Prem’ is going to make a comeback for the fans. However, this does not seem to be happening now.

The shooting of the film was supposed to start this year, but it is being said that currently the film has been put on pause. According to a media report, there were disagreements between the actor and the director on many aspects of the film. After which both of them decided to close the film amicably.

However, the report also states that Sooraj Barjatya wants to take the project forward and is planning to adapt its script to suit young actors. The report says that the filmmakers are trying to involve young stars in this project. The report quoted a source as saying that the names of Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh are being considered for this project.

It is noteworthy that Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya last worked together in the film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. This film was released in the year 2015. Artists like Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Anupam Kher, Swara Bhaskar and Deepak Dobriyal were also seen in it. Talking about the work front, after Tiger 3, Salman Khan will be seen in the film The Bull being produced by Karan Johar. The film is being directed by Vishnu Vardhan.
