Bollywood Film Salaar has crossed the worldwide mark of Rs 500 crore on Wednesday, the sixth day of its release. It has done a business of Rs 297 crore at the Indian box office. There is a decline in the film’s earnings on weekdays.

Talking about Shahrukh Khan’s film Dunki, it has so far collected Rs 151 crore at the Indian box office. The film has done a worldwide business of around Rs 310 crore. Dunkei, Salaar Se Ek Din Pahele i.e. was released on 21 December.

South’s famous trade analyst Ramesh Bala said- Salaar is performing well in Telugu and Hindi. People are more like watching this action film. According to my view, even in the Hindi belt, Salaar is ahead of Dunki. I am saying this based on the screen count. You should know that Salaar got very less screens as compared to Dunki.

Trade analyst Sumit Kadel also seemed to agree with Ramesh Bala. He said- Both the films Salaar and Dunki have harmed each other. We can say that Dunki has suffered more loss. Dunki’s collection is fine in big cities, but in small cities it is lagging behind Salaar.

According to the aura of Rajkumar Hirani and Shahrukh Khan, Dunki is completely under performing. Although the budget of Dunki is Rs 85 crores, accordingly the film will definitely get the title of hit. Sumit further said- Do not forget one thing amidst all this. Dunki is a non-action film. Despite this, it has collected Rs 150 crore. After the pandemic, only action films have dominated.

Non-action films like Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar could also earn only Rs 150 crore at the domestic box office. If we look at it accordingly, Dunki will be the first non-action film after the pandemic to cross the Rs 200 crore mark.

Sumit Kadel said that to get the tag of hit, Salaar will have to make a net collection of Rs 400 crore. Meaning the film will have to earn this much only in India. Obviously its budget is much higher than that of Donkey. At present the collection of the film is falling in the South region also.

Sumit said- The path ahead is not going to be easy for Salaar. Take the example of Thalapathy Vijay’s film Leo and Rajinikanth’s film Jailer. These films did not have any special support from the Hindi belt, yet both the films were successful in doing business of Rs 600 crores. Prashant Neel’s previous film KGF-2 had done a business of Rs 1100 crore. It would be enough if Salaar could take out even half of it.
