Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathan is releasing on the big screen tomorrow. The boycott trend that started with the first teaser of the film, then the controversy over Deepika’s saffron bikini in the song Besharam Rang kept the film in limelight. This is the first time that Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone did not participate in the promotion of any of their films. Both the actors neither gave interviews to the media, nor were seen promoting Pathan in any show on TV channels.

Amidst all the controversies and boycotts, the advance booking for Pathan started from 20 January. It got tremendous response. 1.71 lakh tickets were booked on the first day itself. By the evening of January 23, this figure reached around 3.5 lakh. Pathan has become the biggest Hindi film in terms of advance bookings. Only KGF-2 is ahead of it, which had more than 5 lakh advance tickets booked.
