Amitabh Bachchan has bought a plot worth Rs 14.5 crore before the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony in Ayodhya. The Allahabad (now Prayagraj) born veteran actor has made this investment in ‘The Saryu’, a 7 star mixed use enclave of Mumbai based developer The House of Abhinandan Lodha.

According to a report in Mint, Amitabh has bought a plot of 10 thousand square feet in ‘The Saryu’ spread over 51 acres. He will build his house on this. The inauguration of The Saryu will also take place on January 22, the day when the ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony of the Ram temple is to be held. On this day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Shri Ram Temple in Ayedhya.

Talking to HT about investing in this project, Amitabh said, ‘I am excited to start this journey with ‘The Saryu’ in Ayodhya. It is a city that is close to my heart. The spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya has created an emotional connection. I am excited to make my home in this global spiritual capital.

On the other hand, the company is also calling it a milestone moment for itself. He says that he is very excited to welcome Amitabh as the first citizen in ‘The Saryu’. ‘The Saryu’ is 15 minutes away from Ram Mandir and 30 minutes from Ayodhya International Airport.

On the work front, Amitabh has recently shot a promo video for ISPL (Indian Street Premier League) with Akshay Kumar and South superstar Suriya. Amitabh’s last film was ‘Ganpat’ released on October 20, which flopped miserably. This year his films like ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, ‘Butterfly’ and ‘Vettiyan’ will be released. Amitabh is going to make his Tamil debut at the age of 81 through Vettiyan.
