5 Died In One Day Due To Corona In India

Covid-19 cases started increasing once again in India. A new sub-variant of Covid JN.1 has been found in Kerala. Due to this, four people died on 17 December. In UP too, a Covid positive person lost his life. However, it is not known whether this patient was infected with the JN.1 variant.

According to the Union Health Ministry, India recorded 335 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday and the number of active cases increased to 1,701.

Karnataka government has issued an alert regarding sub variant JN.1. Whereas in Kerala, Health Minister Veena George said – there is no need to worry. We are continuously monitoring.

According to ICMR Director General Dr Rajiv Bahl, this case came to light in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on December 8. When the report of a 79 year old woman came positive. The woman had mild symptoms of influenza-like illness and however later recovered from Covid-19.

The total number of corona cases in the country has crossed 4.50 crore. At the same time, the number of people recovering from the virus increased to 4.44 crore (4,44,69,799). According to the Health Ministry, the recovery rate in the country is 98.81 percent. So far, 5,33,316 people have died due to Covid-19 in India.

More than 56,000 new corona cases were reported in Singapore in the last one week. Health Ministry issued travel advisory for all citizens. According to the ministry, 56,043 new cases were found between December 3 and 9. Whereas a week before that there were 32,035 Covid cases.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has claimed in a study that taking the Covid-19 vaccine has not increased the risk of sudden deaths among the youth of the country. According to the study, there has been an increase in sudden deaths during Corona due to hospitalization, family history of sudden deaths and some lifestyle habits.

According to WHO, only 43 countries are sharing data on deaths due to Covid. There are only 20 countries which are giving information related to admitted patients. The organization said that at present there is no single variant in the world that is spreading the fastest. However, EG.5 Omicron is on the rise and cases of the BA.2.86 sub-variant have been found in 11 countries.
