The teaser of director Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s upcoming film 12th Fail has been released. The film is set in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi. Vikrant Massey will be seen in the lead role in this film. The film will release on October 27 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
The film is based on the same theme that how the life of the students changes while preparing for the UPSC exam. Students face many things like exam stress and household responsibilities and in the meantime make friends for life.
Real shots of Mukherjee Nagar, crowd of students in a well-known teacher’s classroom, taking admission in coaching classes and students giving exams have also been used in the teaser. The film is based on Anurag Pathak’s book 12th Fail. This book is based on the life of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi. Apart from this, the story of the struggle of lakhs of students preparing for the UPSC exam every year has also been included in the book. The film has been shot among the students preparing in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi.
Talking to ANI about the film, director Vidhu Vinod Chopra has said that the film is a tribute to the true officers who work day and night to uphold our Constitution. Along with this, this film is also a tribute to thousands of students preparing for the exam, who will lead our country by becoming officers like this.
