The advance booking of Sunny Deol’s upcoming film Gadar 2 has broken the record of advance booking of Pathan in single screen theatres. According to trade expert Sumit Kadel, the advance booking for first day shows in single screen theaters in Tier B and Tier C cities is more than Pathan.
More than 1 lakh advance tickets have been booked for the first day shows at INOX, PVR and Cinepolis. On the other hand, talking about multiplex chain, Pathan had earned up to 4 lakhs from advance booking.
Trade expert Sumit Kadel tweeted on the advance booking of Gadar 2 in single screen and wrote – Sunny Deol has brought us back to the 90s. At the same time, Taran Adarsh also shared the estimate of ticket booking and wrote – Ticket sales are excellent even in single screen.
According to trade experts, the reason for this is Sunny Deol’s fan base and his craze in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in North India. According to experts, the film can get an opening of more than 20 crores. Tara Singh’s truck in the film, the song like Ud Ja Kale Kawan and the iconic dialogue of Dhai Kilo Ke Haath still retain its attraction. On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathan got good advance bookings from metro cities.
The advance booking of Gadar 2 is more than the advance booking of Ranbir Kapoor starrer film Sanju. Around 72,000 tickets were booked in advance before the release of this film. At the same time, according to sacnilk.com, 26,000 have been sold so far for the opening day show of Akshay Kumar’s film OMG 2, releasing on August 11. Apart from this, advance booking of tickets worth about ₹ 19 crore has been done for the jailer. It has become the second highest advance booking Tamil film in 2023.
Gadar 2, directed by Anil Sharma, will hit the theaters on August 11. The film will clash with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 at the box-office. Apart from this, these films will also clash with Rajinikanth’s Jailer and Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar. Director Amit Rai’s film OMG-2 is a sequel to the 2011 film OMG. Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi will be seen in lead roles in this film.
