Bollywood Film Pathan is earning record breaking numbers at the Indian box office these days. Apart from India, the film is doing tremendous business in foreign countries as well. Now there are reports that the film is being screened in Pakistan as well. According to media reports, the film was being screened illegally in Karachi.

When this matter came to the notice of the Pakistani Censor Board, they issued a statement. The Censor Board says that no person shall release any film privately until a film is officially allowed to release.

According to a report, Pathan was being screened illegally in several parts of the Pakistani city of Karachi. Even the screening of the film was held at the Defense Housing Authority. Tickets for the screening were also being sold on social media.

The Censor Board says that unless a film is officially certified, no person in private can show any film publicly. The censor board has also investigated the social media accounts from where the ads for the tickets of the film were given. The Censor Board says that there is a provision of three years in jail and a fine of one lakh rupees for those who screen the film illegally.

According to media reports, there was a lot of craze in Pakistan about Pathan, people wanted to see Shahrukh’s film in any condition. Such was the craze of the film that all the tickets were sold even for the illegal screening.

Due to the political tension between India and Pakistan, the censor boards of both the countries have banned each other’s films. Relations between the two countries have always been poor but after the Pulwama attack in 2019, matters worsened. Since then there is a cultural ban between India and Pakistan.

A few days ago there were reports that Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jatt will release in India. Zee Studios was all set to release the film in India, but the censor board at the last minute put the film on hold indefinitely.

Pathan has collected 386.50 crores in just 11 days. With this, Pathan has become the highest grossing Bollywood film. If the figures of Tamil and Telugu are added, then the total earning of the film has crossed 400 crores. While talking about Pathan’s worldwide collection, the film’s figure has reached 729 crores.

Pathan is now at the forefront of films originally made in the Hindi language. Pathan has left behind the lifetime collection of Dangal. Talking about the highest-grossing films in the overall Hindi version, only Bahubali 2 and KGF 2 are ahead of Pathan.
