The International Cricket Council (ICC) has shared a 2 minute 13 second campaign video of the upcoming ODI Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 on social media. This tournament will be played in India from 5 October.
The special thing is that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has done the voice over in this video. Along with this, a glimpse of Shahrukh Khan is also seen in the video. This video shows the historical and memorable moments from the inception of ICC World Cup since 1975. Dinesh Karthik, Shubman Gill, Jemima Rodrigues and former South African cricketer and coach Jonty Rhodes are also seen in the video.
The theme of the video is – All It Takes is One Day! This means that only one day is enough to show something. This theme has been linked to the Navras of World Cup cricket. Navaras means nine rasas or feelings that come in the player’s mind during a cricket match. These are – joy, strength, pride, honor, pain, pride, bravery, wonder and passion that will be seen in the World Cup this year as well. Shah Rukh Khan is also the brand ambassador of the ICC Cricket World Cup.
The campaign video for World Cup 2023 was launched at an event by META in Mumbai in the presence of 85 content creators from across India. The campaign video has been created in partnership with Disney Star, the global partner of the ICC.
The first match of the World Cup 2023 will be played between England and New Zealand in Ahmedabad on 5 October in India. India’s first match will be against Australia on 8 October.
The ODI World Cup will be played from 5 October to 19 November. But till now ICC has not shared the official information of ticket sales. However, according to media reports, the ticket prices may be revealed next week. So that visitors coming from other countries can get proper time to plan their visit to India.
