Who can forget the superhero TV serial Shaktimaan? People still remember this character played by Mukesh Khanna. Last year there were reports that a film is going to be made on Shaktimaan. He said that this film will be made on a very big level. The film will cost around 200 to 300 crores. Its work was stopped due to the Corona epidemic. Mukesh said that the film will definitely be made and he will definitely be a part of the film in one way or the other.

Last year there were reports that Ranveer Singh will play the character of Shaktimaan in the film. However, how much truth is there in this news, it has not been confirmed at the moment. Talking about the film in his YouTube channel, Mukesh Khanna said – the contract has been signed. The film is being produced by Sony Pictures, which has made films like Spiderman.

I cannot reveal the starcast of the film right now. Yes, I would definitely say that this is going to be a very big film, so it is bound to take time. There are many questions about the film. People want to know whether I will be seen in the film or not.

Mukesh Khanna further said- At the moment I can say that I will no longer be seen in Shaktimaan’s getup. I do not want any comparison to be made. I will definitely be associated with the film in one way or the other. Just understand that this is going to be an international film.

Shaktimaan was most liked on Doordarshan after Mahabharata and Ramayana. This serial had the highest popularity among children. The show started telecasting 26 years ago in 1997. It was suddenly closed in 2005. Behind the closure of the show, there was a dispute between Mukesh Khanna and Doordarshan over money.

Mukesh Khanna had once told that Doordarshan people had started taking huge money from him. Because of this, he started making losses. In fact, to run the first serial on Doordarshan, the producers had to pay themselves.

Doordarshan used to decide how much money he had to take. On completion of 104 episodes, Doordarshan increased the charges to 10 lakh 80 thousand. Initially this amount was 2 lakh 80 thousand. This proved to be a loss-making deal for Mukesh, so he decided to abruptly stop the show.
