Bollywood Actor Shahid Kapoor rarely likes to talk about his personal life. However, in a recent interview, he has exposed some untold things. Shahid told that his mother Neelima Azim had the only role in bringing him up.
Shahid said that he feels very bad when someone calls him a product of nepotism. According to Shahid, father Pankaj Kapur has no contribution in his success. Shahid says that whatever name he has earned today is because of his own hard work and dedication.
Shahid said that when he made his debut in the industry two decades ago, people called him a product of nepotism. In a recent interview given to Bollywood Bubble, Shahid said – I am a self made star. People feel that if my father’s name is Pankaj Kapoor, then the path of the industry would have become easier for me. it’s not like that at all. You still do not know about my struggle. My father didn’t even live with me. I grew up under the care of my mother. He never recommended anyone to me. I also never asked him for help.
Shahid said that his mother Neelima Azeem raised him and his half-brother Ishaan Khattar alone. Please tell that Neelima Azim has done a total of three marriages. The first marriage was with Pankaj Kapur, which lasted from 1979 to 1984. Shahid was born to these two. After this, in 1990, she married actor Rajesh Khattar.
This marriage also could not last long and in 2001 they too got divorced. However, by then Ishaan Khattar had been born. Neelima married thirdly in 2004 to a tabla player named Raza Ali Khan. This marriage also broke up in 2009.
