The trailer of Raj Kundra’s film UT69 has been released. The film, starring Raj in the lead role, is based on his life. The film shows how Raj goes to Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail on charges of making an adult film and how he is treated there by the policemen and prisoners.
The trailer starts with the news of Raj Kundra’s arrest. Then Raj’s voice over comes. In this he says- I had seen about this jail on TV but never thought that I myself would come here as an under-trial. As soon as they enter the jail, their bags are searched. Not only this, all their clothes are also removed. There is also some comedy and emotions in the film. Overall, it is shown what troubles Raj faced inside the jail.
This film will be released in theaters on November 3. The film is directed by Shahnawaz Ali. Whereas, the art direction has been done by Neeraj Kumar Singh. The entire shooting of the film has been done in Mumbai only.
Earlier, Raj had shared an announcement video on social media, in which filmmaker Farah Khan and comedian Munnavar Faruqui were also seen with him. Farah says that she has not made this film to show that she has called this conference. It has been directed by Raj Kundra himself.
Raj Kundra was arrested by the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police in July 2021 on charges of making porn films. Raj’s name had come up in this case when some models and struggling actresses had alleged that they were forcibly made to work in porn films. After this he also spent some time in Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai. Last year, the Supreme Court had given him anticipatory bail in this case.
