An update related to Prabhas’ next film ‘Salaar’ has come to the fore. If reports are to be believed then the theatrical rights deal of the film is stuck. The reason for this is that the makers have demanded Rs 200 crore for the film. However, so far no statement has come from the makers on this matter.

According to reports, the amount demanded by the makers of Salaar for the theatrical rights is equal to the amount given to the makers of RRR. The great thing is that even the budget of Salaar is only 200 crores.

For the rights of the film, the makers have demanded 72 crores in Telangana, 35 crores in seeded district and 90 crores in Andhra region. However, the buyers are not ready to pay such a huge amount to the makers. The major reason for this is believed to be the performance of Prabhas’ previous films.

Even though Prabhas is a pan India star, his last three films ‘Saaho’, ‘Radheshyam’ and ‘Adipurush’ flopped at the box office. Prabhas got stardom in his career from the Bahubali franchise. His last hit film was ‘Bahubali 2’ released in 2017.

Salaar has been directed by ‘KGF’ fame director Prashant Neel. Recently its teaser was released, which was liked by the fans. The first part of the film will be released on 28 September. Apart from Prabhas, actors like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Tinnu Anand and Jagapati Babu will be seen in it.
