However, a case of fraud related to the program also came to notice.
Actually, the price of Garba Night pass was Rs 4500. The thugs together decided to take advantage of this and made 156 youth victims by luring them with cheap passes. At the same time, Mumbai Police investigating this case has achieved great success. Four accused of fraud have been arrested. There was a competition among the fans for the passes for Dandiya Queen Falguni Pathak’s ‘Garba Night’.
Meanwhile, a person identifying himself as Vishal Shah from Borivali (West) introduced himself to a young man as the official vendor of the programme. Also lured him to get a pass worth Rs 4,500 for Rs 3,300. The young man and his friends also agreed to buy the pass. After this he convinced his other friends also to buy the pass, taking the total number of people buying the pass to 156.
However, the swindler also took the money and did not give passes to the youth. After realizing that they had been cheated, the youth together narrated their ordeal to the police. In the matter, the police registered an FIR under sections 406, 420 and 34 of the IPC and started investigation. Now the police has achieved great success in this.
Mumbai’s MHB police has arrested 4 accused in connection with the case of cheating 156 people who were trying to buy passes for Falguni Pathak’s ‘Garba Night’. Besides, a car, Rs 91 thousand cash and a mobile phone have also been seized from the thugs. Mumbai Zone 11 DCP Ajay Bansal said, ‘We received a complaint on October 12. About 160 people were cheated of Rs 5 lakh in the name of pass for Garba Night. We have arrested four accused in the case.
