Tollywood Superstar Dhanush’s recently released film ‘Captain Miller’ has been accused of stealing the story. This allegation has been made by Tamil writer and actor Vela Ramamurthy on this film directed by Arun Matheswaran.

Vela, known for his Tamil novels and poems, has claimed that ‘Captain Miller’ is a copy of his novel ‘Pattathu Yaanai’. He has criticized the makers for making a film by adapting the novel without permission.

Speaking to a Tamil magazine, Vela said, ‘The story of this film is based on my novel ‘Pattathu Yaanai’. I want justice for this theft. There is no honesty left in Tamil film industry. I will take this issue to the Tamil Cinema Directors Union. I hope that filmmaker Bharathiraja sir will do justice to me.

On this occasion, Vela also said that by raising this issue he neither wants to become famous nor earn money. They are only demanding justice for their work. Vela has so far appeared in Rajinikanth’s films like ‘Annaatthe’, ‘Sethupathi’ and ‘Keedaari’. Apart from this, he has also played the role of Dhanush’s father in the film ‘Enai Nokki Paayum Thota’.

Dhanush is seen in a different avatar in the film ‘Captain Miller’. The story of the film is set in the pre-independence era. This is the story of a man named ‘Captain Miller’. He was earlier a soldier of the British Army but he is protecting his villagers from the British who want to loot the treasure hidden in his village.

Dhanush’s ‘Captain Miller’, which was released in theaters on January 12, did a business of Rs 1 crore on Sunday. Its total domestic collection has now reached Rs 43 crore.
