Bollywood Actress Ameesha Patel has been fined Rs 500 in a check bounce case in Ranchi Civil Court. The next hearing in the case will be on August 7. Ameesha Patel is accused of duping Ajay Singh of Rs 2.5 crore in the name of making the film “Desi Magic”. On behalf of the accused Ajay Kumar Singh, the company’s manager Tinku Singh appeared in the court as a witness.
But Amisha Patel’s lawyer did not cross-examine her. Ameesha Patel’s lawyer was giving time petition. For this reason, the court has imposed a fine. The hearing was held in the court of Judicial Magistrate DN Shukla in the civil court. Ameesha Patel has appeared in the court twice before.
Ameesha Patel’s lawyer Jayprakash was demanding the next date from the court. He told the court that he needed a certified copy, so the next date for hearing should be fixed. On the other hand, witnesses from Ajay Singh’s side were present in the court. The court fixed the date of August 7 for the cross examination of the witness.
Ameesha Patel is accused of duping Ajay Singh of Rs 2.5 crore in the name of making the film Desi Magic. Ajay says- According to the contract that was signed between the two, when the film was not released in June 2018, Ajay asked for money back from Ameesha.
After much procrastination, two checks of Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 50 lakh were given in October 2018, which bounced. After this Ajay Singh has filed a case in Ranchi Civil Court. Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s film Gadar was released in the year 2001. It proved to be a superhit film of that time. The film did a business of more than 250 crores then.
Now after 23 years, ‘Gadar 2’ is releasing on August 11. The makers of the film released the motion poster recently. Sunny and Utkarsh Sharma are seen running on the border in the poster. Sunny Deol-Tara Singh, Ameesha Patel- Sakina and Utkarsh- their son will be seen in the role of Jeet in the film.
