The show CID, which started in the 90s, is part of the memories of many. Many characters of the show have made their special place in the hearts of the fans. Be it Daya’s character or Abhijeet or ACP Pradyuman, one of these characters was Inspector Vivek. This role was played by former actor Vivek Mashru, who is currently a professor at CMR University, Bangalore, away from the TV industry.

In fact, recently a Twitter user shared Vivek’s old picture, in the caption the user wrote- ‘If you know him, then your childhood was very special.’ Vivek’s picture got viral on social media. Meanwhile, a user wrote on the post- ‘He is now a professor in my brother’s college. I am not joking.

A boy told in the reply section that the actor teaches him design thinking. Sharing the college picture with Vivek, another user wrote- ‘Me with him in the picture… during the design thinking event of our college.’

Reacting to the viral picture, Vivek also thanked the fan. He wrote- Thank you very much to all of you for so much love and praise. It means a lot to me and thank you from the bottom of my heart for this.

After checking his LinkedIn profile, it was found that Vivek is a professor at the Lakeside Campus of CMR University in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. He is working here as the director in the Common Core Curriculum department. Prior to this, he has worked as the Marketing Director of Indus Valley School.

Vivek Mashru started his career with Akkad Bakkar Bombay Bo. Apart from this, he was seen in the role of Inspector Vivek in the TV show CID. The actor was a part of the show in the year 2006, while he worked in the show for 6 years. However, in the year 2012, he said goodbye to the show. They got married in the year 2014.
