Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s father P. Khurrana passed away on Friday at a private hospital in Mohali. He was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali two days ago due to heart problem. On Friday afternoon, his body was brought from Mohali to his house in Sector 6, Panchkula, Haryana. He was cremated at Manimajra’s crematorium in the evening.
As soon as the news of the death of Ayushmann Khurrana’s father was received, a crowd of people gathered outside the residence. His relatives also reached here. After the last darshan at 5:00 pm, his body was taken to the Manimajra cremation ground in Chandigarh for the last rites.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s father P Khurrana was a famous astrologer. Ayushmann Khurrana and his brother Aparshakti Khurana have reached the funeral of their father. Both shouldered their father’s bier.
On behalf of Ayushmann Khurrana’s brother Aparshakti Khurana, his spokesperson has issued a statement. It reads, ‘We are very sad to inform that astrologer P Khurrana, father of Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurrana, has passed away today at 10:30 am in Mohali due to a prolonged illness. We are grateful to you all for your prayers and support during this personal loss.
P Khurana was very popular in North India because of his contribution in the field of astrology. He has also written books on Jyotishacharya. Ayushmann Khurrana had said about his father in the year 2020, “I don’t believe in astrologers but my father has been training him throughout his life. He always used to tell me son, take the pulse of the public. That’s what I have done.”
