Shahid Hassan, the casting director of ‘Inspector Avinash’ is my friend. He told me that director Neeraj is making such a show. I took Neeraj ji’s number from him and asked him for work. Went to meet him and auditioned. After that I was cast in it. I believe that no job is big or small and there is no shame in asking for work.
Had to put on 9 kilos for the series. My character is of a goon from a political family. Earlier he was about to get the throne but later his brother gets it. He is an alcoholic, takes drugs and smokes profusely. He is drunk half the time, so overall he is not a physically fit person. Gaining weight was not difficult for me, but for this, smoking again was a bit tough. I was a smoker at one point of time but quit smoking five years ago. For this character, he had to smoke many times in one take, so it was very painful. Lungs got burnt but this much had to be done to make this character alive.
I gained 9 kgs in first one month and then lost 12 kgs. It is easy for me to gain weight because whatever I eat, I gain weight. Yes, losing weight has been a pain for me. Some films of this series and many video songs were to be shot, so for that I have lost 12 kilos till now.
Team work is very important. When the whole team works together from the heart, then that thing becomes successful. We have made ‘Inspector Avinash’ with a lot of heart and hard work. At one time, 350 people including cast and crew used to be on the set. Due to the dedication and hard work of all of them, it is being discussed today.
I have recently shot 6 video songs as an actor and director. Last week, one of its songs has also been released. Apart from this, I am also doing three films. It has a thriller film ‘Intrap’. Its story is about a boy who gets trapped in the trunk of a car with his girlfriend. It is a survival film with a different concept.
The second film is ‘Con Man’. Its story is about a software engineer who wanted to become a hacker but someone steals all the money from his account. After this, he breaks into the corrupt system by catching the hacker and breaks the entire system. The name of the third film is ‘Madrasi Gang’. It will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. It is a cop drama. Apart from this, there is a lot going on. I have been working hard for many years.
