Don’t feel bad if you don’t get success in audition

In an interview to Film Companion, Sonam claimed that a few years back she had signed a three-film deal with a big Bollywood production house, but was pulled out of the project a few days before the shoot. Talking about her journey, Sonam said- ‘If I don’t get success in the audition, I don’t feel bad now. But when I look back at my journey of 6-7 years, earlier I used to feel sad. I used to think why I am not doing films here, why I am rejected 6 days before the film?

Recalling the early days of her career, Sonam said- ‘I had signed a deal of 3 films with a big production house. That’s why I did a workshop. Also learned skills for the film. But 6 days before the shooting, she said that the director is feeling nervous because this is his first film and you are new. Whenever I look back now, I feel that God saved me. It is good that those films did not happen.

Sonam has completed 10 years in the film industry. She says that now she has reached such a point that she can choose projects of her own choice in the Punjabi industry. However, despite all these bad experiences, Sonam wants to work in Bollywood films. But she does not network in any way to do it for the role.

Earlier, she had revealed that she had earlier auditioned for Deepika’s role in Happy New Year. She also shot a song for Street Dancer 3D, but that did not make it to the final cut, but was later released on YouTube.
