Vidyut Jamwal Talks About His Upcoming Film IB-71

Read Time:3 Minute, 30 Second

Bollywood Actor Vidyut Jammwal’s film ‘IB 71’ as an actor and debut producer has been released. In IB-71, Vidyut will be seen in the role of an Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer. He has got it directed by ‘Ghazi’ fame director Sankalp Reddy. In this, ‘Mardaani 2’ fame actor Vishal Jethwa is playing the role of a terrorist. Here is the story of the special things related to the film, in his own words

How is IB-71 different from other spy thriller movies?

Sankalp: Well its story came from Vidyut and writer Aditya Shastri. Vidyut had seen my ‘Ghazi Attack’. The Ghazi attack event took place between India and Pakistan after this film. So even I did not know that the IB 71 incident had ever happened. Of course, spy movies have been made all over the world. This is different from them. Apart from them, if it is also tried to extract similarity from Jason Bourne or Argo, then it will not be found.

Electricity :- See, every war has been fought with more or less similar weapons, but how the people running them deal with those situations, makes every war very different. So our film is somewhat like IB71. is not like anyone else.

What were Vishal’s preparations?

Vishal: First it was to be kept separate from the character in Mardaani 2. I work on the language of my character. I am a Gujarati myself, but here I worked on the local dialect of Kashmir. A local Kashmiri there became my friend and also my dialect coach. As for the rest, I had received a call from Abbas Sir. He is also the producer of this film. He told that there is a film in which you have a very important role.

We have already done one to one and a half year’s research on the subject. I immediately narrated on zoom. As an Indian, I am very proud to be a part of this film. According to the trade, Akshay Kumar as a producer gives a brand name, doesn’t he invest money? How are you producing films?

Electricity :- Where you work, you take salary there. So the salary has to be justified, because the money of the company belongs to someone else. Similarly, even if someone else’s money is spent in the production, you have to justify it. So the responsibility is the same. I don’t see it that way. My pocket money and my friend’s money are the same.

What kind of films will you bring forward as a producer?

Vidyut: Don’t know about this. Those thoughts keep on going. But the kind of people I want to work with, that’s for sure. If someone has talent and it is not visible in others, but I come to know then I will definitely work with him.

This time there was double responsibility on electricity, how did it happen?

Vidyut: I am also the producer of this film, so I had two responsibilities. I followed the principle on the sets that if someone is going to work on my sets, they should have fun. So he took full care of the atmosphere and the food and drink there. Whether it is Vishal or Anupam Sir, they come on the set well prepared. So our shooting went very smoothly.

What tips did Vishal take from Vidyut?

Vidyut :- If I tell the truth, I do not go around giving tips only for body building. Otherwise there will be no problem.

Vishal: Had I taken those tips, today I would have had six pack and eight pack abs. But of course I wanted to work out with Vidyut, but that didn’t happen. I still wish I could get a chance to workout with him, but I’ll have a big class.

Would you ever like to do a multistarrer film?

Vidyut :- I am open. My first film was in South, where I worked with Tarak i.e. Jr. NTR. I would love to work with him again. I have worked with South actor Ajit ji. Learned a lot from him about cinema and people. I would like to do a two hero film in Bollywood with Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan.
