Tollywood Actor Suriya’s next film ‘Kanguva’ has been attracting a lot of attention after the recent release of its teaser. While a large number of fans are waiting for the release of the film, Suriya made a surprise announcement on Thursday. The actor is set to collaborate with director Karthik Subbaraj for a film. The project has been tentatively named ‘Surya 44’. It is to be noted that this will be the first time that Suriya will be collaborating with Karthik Subbaraj.
Talented Suriya has been selecting interesting scripts in recent times, while his fantasy action film ‘Kanguva’ with director Siva is awaiting release. Surya made a surprising announcement on Thursday. The actor revealed that he is all set to team up with director Karthik Subbaraj for ‘Suriya 44’. Karthik Subbaraj last directed the hit film ‘Jigarthanda DoubleX’, which received positive response.

The film will be co-produced by Suriya’s home banner, 2D Entertainment and Karthik’s Stone Bench Films. The actor released a poster on X which shows an arrow passing through the bark of a tree in the background of flames. The makers are yet to announce the rest of the cast and team of the upcoming project. The actor has used the hashtag Love Laughter War with the post.
Suriya was last seen playing a small role as Rolex in ‘Vikram’. His role is expected to be featured more in upcoming LCU films. The actor’s next release will be ‘Kanguva’ with director Siva. Recently a teaser was released. However, the release date of the film has not been announced yet. The post-theatrical rights of the film are secured by Prime Video. ‘Kanguva’ also stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani.
