Bollywood Actor Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham’s film Pathan is going to release in Bangladesh. The special thing is that for the first time in 52 years after the separation of Bangladesh from Pakistan in 1971, an Indian film is going to be released in Bangladesh. The film will release in Bangladesh on May 12. Siddharth Anand is the director of the film.
Talking to the media about this, Yash Raj Films artist Nelson D’Souza said – Cinema has always been connecting different countries and cultures. Cinema has always helped in bridging the gap between people related to race. Films earn love from audiences across borders and keep people connected to each other. I am very happy that Pathan is now going to release in Bangladesh as well. The film has already done well worldwide.
He further said- Pathan is the first Hindi film since 1971 to be released in Bangladesh. The authority has taken this decision and we are thankful for it. Shahrukh Khan has a huge fan following in Bangladesh and we want to bring the film to the audience. The film will also represent our country’s culture and cinema in Bangladesh.
Pathan is the highest grossing Hindi film in the world. The film has earned Rs 1050 crores at the global box office. Pathan has collected Rs 545 crores only in India. While in Overseas, the film earned 396.02 crores.
It even broke the 6 year old record of Baahubali 2 in just 38 days. The Hindi version of Bahubali 2 had a lifetime collection of 510.90 crores. Baahubali 2 was the first film to enter the 500 crore club. However, the film got embroiled in several controversies before its release. The color of the saffron colored bikini by Deepika in the song Besharam Rang has also caused controversy.
