Talking to the media about this, Yash Raj Films artist Nelson D’Souza said – Cinema has always been connecting different countries and cultures. I am very happy that Pathan is now going to release in Bangladesh as well. The film has already done well worldwide.
He further said- Pathan is the first Hindi film since 1971 to be released in Bangladesh. The authority has taken this decision and we are thankful for it. Shahrukh Khan has a huge fan following in Bangladesh and we want to bring the film to the audience. The film will also represent our country’s culture and cinema in Bangladesh.
Pathan is the highest grossing Hindi film in the world. The film has earned Rs 1050 crores at the global box office. Pathan has collected Rs 545 crores only in India. While in Overseas, the film earned 396.02 crores.
It even broke the 6 year old record of Baahubali 2 in just 38 days. The Hindi version of Bahubali 2 had a lifetime collection of 510.90 crores.
