At present, work on half a dozen remake films is going on in the industry. Now another name has been added to this list. The special thing is that Aamir Khan’s son Junaid and Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor will be seen together in this film. It will be a remake of last year’s Tamil blockbuster film ‘Love Today’. It is discussed that Advait Chandan, who directed films like ‘Secret Superstar’ and ‘Lal Singh Chadha’, will direct this film.
The shooting of the film may begin in the second half of this year. The makers have finalized the lead cast for this romantic-comedy film. This is the first time Junaid and Khushi will work together. The names of both were discussed for a long time, but now it is being heard that both have signed the film. Both will be seen in the role of a young couple in the film.
Pradeep Ranganathan and Ivana were in the lead roles in the Tamil film ‘Love Today’ released last year. The sporting star cast included big names like Sathyaraj, Yogi Babu and Radhika Sarathkumar. And for the remake, the rest of the star cast will be finalized by next month. Director Advait is planning to take this remake on the floor by July.
This film will be the second film of both Junaid and Khushi. Both are already working on their debut project. Where Junaid is working on Yash Raj Banner’s thriller-drama ‘Maharaj’. Whereas Khushi will make her debut with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’. In this, he will also be accompanied by Shahrukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. Even though this is Khushi’s first project, it will release on OTT. In such a situation, the remake of ‘Love Today’ will be Khushi’s first theatrical debut.
