Bollywood Actor Shilpa Shetty’s next film is ‘Sukhi’. These days the actress is busy promoting this film. In an interview, the actress talked about the importance of the British reality TV show ‘Big Brother’ in her career. He also told how this show made him independent.
Even though many of Shilpa’s films were hits in the 90s, she never got the status of top actress. However, there was a big change in her life after she became the winner of the British reality TV show ‘Big Brother’ in 2007.
In an interview given to Siddharth Kanan, Shilpa said, ‘This show gave me more popularity than films. I believe that this is where my career got poetic justice. There are many actors who did not get the popularity even from films, which I got from this show. This was a life changing show for me.
In the interview, the actress also said that after this show she learned to be independent in life, otherwise before this her mother used to stay with her all the time. Shilpa said, ‘It was very difficult for me because till then I was very protected. My mother often accompanied me on my outdoor shoots. My father had imposed this condition. It was only after Big Brother that I learned to be independent.
The story of ‘Sukhi’, which is going to be released in theaters on September 22, is based on the life of a housewife who leaves for Delhi to attend a school reunion without informing her family. This film directed by Sonal Joshi talks about women empowerment in a light-hearted manner. Apart from Shilpa, actors like Amit Sadh, Kusha Kapila and Pavleen Gulati will be seen in it.
