‘Animal’, starring actors like Ranbir, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, was a film that made headlines as soon as it hit the theaters. After the blockbuster success of ‘Kabir Singh’, Sandeep Reddy Vanga returned as a strong director through the film ‘Animal’. Its release date was also changed several times. Earlier ‘Animal’ was to be released on August 11, 2023, but it would have clashed with Sunny Deol starrer ‘Gadar 2’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’, and Sandeep Reddy did not want to take any risk with the film ‘Animal’. So the film was released on December 1, 2023, where it clashed with Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Sam Bahadur’.

Despite being an A-rated film, Animal surprised everyone by earning more than Rs 500 crore in India. Earning Rs 500 crore, the film ‘Animal’ became the highest grossing A-rated film of Indian cinema. The trailer of ‘Animal’, released just a week before its release on December 1, 2023, surprised everyone. It had a huge profit in advance ticket sales. Despite being an A-rated film, the film grossed over Rs 50 crore on the first day and eventually the film easily crossed the Rs 550 crore mark soon.

The film grossed around Rs 885 crore worldwide. Animal became the third-highest Indian film of 2024 at the worldwide box office, behind two films ‘Pathan’ and ‘Jawaan’ that grossed Rs 1000 crore. In India, it became the second-highest-grossing film of 2024 after Jawaan. Animal proved to be the fourth-highest Hindi grosser film after ‘Jawaan’, ‘Pathan’ and ‘Gadar 2’. According to media reports, ‘Animal’ clashed with a powerful film like ‘Sam Bahadur’ and if only ‘Animal’ had released during that time, this Ranbir Kapoor film could have grossed Rs 1000 crore worldwide.

However, in the first part of ‘Animal’, it was shown that Ranbir Kapoor also had a lookalike. It is being speculated that the second part of the film will come soon. Currently, ‘Animal’ is doing very well on Netflix. Talking about Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming films, according to media reports, Ranbir is busy shooting for ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Love and War’. Soon Ranbir can start shooting for ‘Animal Park’ with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
