Pankaj Tripathi Will Take A Break After Every Film

Read Time:2 Minute, 4 Second

Bollywood Actor Pankaj Tripathi is one of the busiest actors of this era. After doing about 14 films in the last 3 years, Pankaj now wants to take a break. In an interview, Pankaj said that from now on he will take a break of 30 days after the shooting of every film so that he can come out of the character of the previous film and prepare for the next film.

Speaking to Indian Express, Pankaj said, ‘I have decided to do my work. I felt that it was too much, one should not act so much. Everything has a limit and I cannot change my physicality. In such a situation, I have decided that instead of doing 10 projects, now I will do only 3 projects.

Pankaj shared an anecdote from the sets of the film ‘Stree 2’ and told how their work has started overlapping. Tripathi said, ‘After completing the shooting of the film ‘Main Atal Hoon’, I reached the sets of ‘Stree 2’ the very next day. On the very first day of the shoot, director Amar Kaushik came to me and said – ‘Atal ji is looking…’. I asked what should I do now? So Amar gave me a day’s leave and said, ‘Go home, see the woman and relax.’

Pankaj further said, ‘Later I myself realized that it is wrong to go from one set to another without preparation like this. I feel I need to take a gap of 30 days before starting every film. 10 days to forget the old character, 10 days to dedicate to the family and 10 days to prepare for the new character. And from now on I will do only this much.

After working for years, Pankaj has now reached that stage professionally where he is able to refuse new work or choose his characters as per his own wish. Talking about this, he says, ‘Earlier I had many responsibilities, so I used to do every kind of work to earn money. Now the situation is different. My EMIs have been completed. Money is needed even to say that money does not play a big role in life. Only when he has money can a man say this and feel profound.

The film ‘Main Atal Hoon’ directed by Ravi Jadhav will be released in theaters on January 19. Apart from this film, Pankaj’s two more films ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Metro: These Days’ are also to be released this year.
