Read Time:1 Minute, 6 Second

Oscar Award winning musician AR Rahman has recently used Artificial Intelligence (AI) in one of his songs. The title of this song is ‘Thimiri Yehuda’, which has been used in Rajinikanth’s film ‘Lal Salaam’. In the song, Rahman has used the voices of two late South singers Shahul Hameed and Bamba Bakya by creating them with AI.

Since the release of the song, debate about it has started on social media. While some people see this as a benefit of advanced technology, some say that doing so is unethical. Now Rahman has given his clarification on this song. Rahman said that before using the voices of both the legendary singers through Artificial Intelligence, he had taken permission from their family members.

Rehman wrote in a tweet, ‘We took permission from the families of both the late singers to use their voice algorithms. He also sent their wages. If we use technology properly then it is not a threat or hindrance… #Respect #Nostalgia.

Rajinikanth will be seen in an extended cameo in the film ‘Lal Salaam’. It has been directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant will be seen in lead roles in this sports action drama film. Earlier this film was scheduled to release on Pongal 2024 but now it is to be released on February 9.
