Tollywood superstar Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film ‘Indian 2’ is one of the most awaited films of 2024. The audience is eagerly waiting for the film being directed by Shankar Shanmugam. Fans are eager to see Kamal Haasan back on the big screen as Senapati. Meanwhile, the makers of the upcoming political thriller film have shared new posters, which show Kamal Haasan in his iconic commander avatar.
On April 14, the makers of Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Indian 2’ shared powerful posters from the upcoming film on their social platform X. The makers wrote, ‘Senapati is all set to revive with zero tolerance in Indian 2. Get ready for the epic sequel in theaters from June 2024. Wherever injustice occurs, consider it a red alert. Indian 2.’
In the poster, Kamal Haasan can be seen in his two different look avatars as the commander. The poster also shows an Indian flag flying high in the background. The makers shared four posters of the political thriller film in Tamil, Telugu, English and Hindi languages as Indian 2, Bharatiyadu 2 and Hindustani 2. However, the makers have not yet revealed the release date of the upcoming film, leaving eager fans waiting for the release date announcement.
Kamal Haasan played two roles, one of a father and one of his son, in the 1996 film Indian. The father was portrayed as a veteran freedom fighter, who also acts as a vigilante against corruption in the country. The film was successful at the box office and earned well. Now it is being said that the story of part one will be taken forward in ‘Indian 2’.
Earlier, while sharing an update on the film, Kamal Haasan had said that he has completed the shooting of ‘Indian 2’ and ‘Indian 3’. Work is going on on the post production of ‘Indian 2’, after the completion of which the team will work on the post production of ‘Indian 3’.
Talking about the cast of the film, along with Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Brahmanandam and others are playing important roles. The film is produced by Lyca Productions in association with Red Giant Movies. Anirudh Ravichander is the tune composer. The release dates of both ‘Indian 2’ and ‘Indian 3’ are yet to be revealed.
