Filmmaker Karan Johar’s blockbuster film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham completes 22 years today. Big stars like Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan have been seen in the film. Karan and Kajol have shared a note on social media on completion of 22 years of the film. Kajol recalled Aryan Khan’s onscreen debut as a child artiste in the film. It was also told that Karan Johar had fainted on the set due to heat.
Kajol shared a reel of the film on Instagram and wrote, ‘Completes 22 years of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Another word, but never ending memories, Yash uncle actually built new make-up rooms permanently in Filmistan studios for the shooting of this film because even with the vanity van it was not enough for the big star cast.’
Kajol further wrote about Karan Johar, ‘Karan Johar used to faint due to dehydration in the initial days on the sets of the film, because it was really very hot there.’ Recalling the moments related to the film, the actress wrote, ‘Aryan Khan made his screen debut with this film. I think this was my first comeback too. This was the first time I was standing in front of a big pyramid. So yes, this film is really a big film both in terms of life and cinema.
Apart from this, Karan Johar has also expressed his gratitude to the team of the film by releasing a reel on the completion of 22 years of the film. I will always be grateful to the wonderful and generous cast, Amit ji, Jaya ji, Shahrukh Bhai, Kajol, Duggu and Bebo and other artists associated with the film for making this journey the most memorable.
Apart from Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan were also seen in important roles in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. In this film, Big B played the role of Yashvardhan, father of Shahrukh and Hrithik. Whereas, his real life partner Jaya Bachchan played the role of his onscreen wife Nandini.
