Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan celebrated his 58th birthday with his fans at an event in Mumbai on November 2, 2023. The actor returned to the big screen earlier this year with the action thrillers ‘Pathan’ and ‘Jawaan’. His last film ‘Jawaan’ grossed Rs 1150 crore worldwide and became the biggest blockbuster of all time. At the same time, yesterday its director Atlee hinted at its sequel. However, King Khan has dashed the expectations of the fans. The actor has also revealed that he has no plans to make ‘Jawaan 2’.
When Shahrukh Khan was asked about ‘Jawaan 2’, he said, ‘It is very easy for me to make Jawan 2. I’ll call Atlee right now and we’ll make it. What is that called? Franchise movie, but I don’t want to do that. I want to make new types of films and play new characters for you all. A film like Dunki will speak to you a lot and will entertain you a lot. In fact, I think it will entertain more than Jawan and Pathan.
Shahrukh Khan further talked about ‘Dunki’ and said, ‘Raju sir was clear that the world of our film should be visible to everyone first. What I am doing in it, or what Taapsee is doing, we will show all that gradually. So what I am doing in this will be known later but I am doing quite well.
King Khan said that ‘Dunki’ is his favorite film of the year and about Rajkumar Hirani, he said, ‘There is no one hero in his films, the story is the real hero – it is a beautiful group who tell you the story. Gives confidence in the power of. I am not the main locket, I am the thread that connects all the beads together.’
Shahrukh Khan further added, ‘We have been making Dunki for two-and-a-half years and today its first glimpse, its first drop, Dunki Drop 1 because we are so cool that we also say drop. Dunki Drop 1 is here and we will continue to show our stuff. Please note that this much awaited film of Shahrukh Khan will hit the theaters on December 22, 2023.
