These days Randeep Hooda is in discussion about his upcoming film ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’. They are promoting it vigorously. Meanwhile, recently he was seen talking about entering politics. The actor has not ruled out entering politics. But, it has definitely been said that this is not the right time to leave your film career and join politics. Randeep said that for now he wants to focus on his acting career.
Claims were being made in various media reports that Randeep, who is in the news for the biopic of Hindutva ideologue Veer Savarkar ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’, can contest the Lok Sabha elections as a BJP candidate from his hometown Rohtak in Haryana.
In a recent conversation with news agency PTI about this, Randeep said that politics is as serious a career as film production and acting. I have been very honest towards my acting and have acted with all my heart. If I have to join politics, I will do it as a full-time job. I am not a person who can do many things at the same time. Right now, as an actor I have films to do. Apart from this, my career as a director is still new and I am enjoying it.
Randeep Hooda further said, ‘Now is not the right time to leave your film career and enter politics. Half-heartedness has never excited me. I like to join cleanliness campaigns, work for the environment. I have been interested in these from the beginning. But, you don’t know anything about the future.
Talking about Randeep Hooda’s film ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’, earlier it was going to be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. But, he left the project due to creative differences. Along with playing the lead role, Randeep himself has taken charge of the direction of the film. He has also co-written it and is also a co-producer.
