Producer Prerna Arora, who has made films like Rustom and Toilet-Ek Prem Katha, is once again in the news. According to a report, these days Prerna is working on PM Modi’s biopic. She wants Amitabh Bachchan to play the role of Modi in this film.
In an interview given to Zoom TV, Prerna said that she does not consider anyone a bigger hero than Modi ji. She described Modi as the most capable, handsome and dynamic person of the country. Prerna also said that Amitabh Bachchan is the most fit actor to play the role of Modi.
In this interview, Prerna said, ‘The way Narendra Modi has handled the pandemic, makes him bigger than Marvel’s superheroes. In this biopic, I want to cover everything from his administrative skills.
On the other hand, when Prerna was asked about Vivek Oberoi starrer PM Modi biopic, she said, ‘I haven’t seen that film yet but I guarantee that my biopic will do full justice to Modi ji.’ Prerna shut down her production house Cree-Arj in 2018 after producing six films. There was a time when she was surrounded by many controversies. Financially she was also in a bad condition.
In 2018, the Mumbai Police filed a 176-page charge sheet against Prerna in a cheating case. She was accused of cheating of Rs 31 crore. In December 2018, Mumbai Police arrested Prerna in a Rs 31 crore fraud case. She was released after a year.
Film producer Vishnu Bhagnani had filed a complaint against her. Vishnu alleged that between 2016 and 2018, Prerna had taken a loan of Rs 31 crore along with two of her colleagues from Kri-Arj Entertainment Production. Prerna took this loan to produce films like Kedarnath and Padman.
The surprising thing was that even though Prerna did not have the rights of Kedarnath, she had taken a loan for this film. Not only this, Prerna had also taken Rs 9 crore from Vasu to buy a house in Pali Hill. Last year, the ED had also registered a case of money laundering on Prerna.
Even before this, many films and web series have been made on PM Modi. In the year 2019, the web series ‘Modi: Journey of a Common Man’ and Vivek Oberoi starrer film ‘PM Modi’ were also released. Apart from this, many projects based on PM have been released.
