Bhagyashree got recognition from the film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ released in 1989. After this film, she became known as a leading actress in the film industry. In a recent interview, she told some unheard stories of her personal life. Bhagyashree said that at the time of the birth of son Abhimanyu, she was deeply hurt by the words of a female journalist.
Bhagyashree said- I was lying in the hospital, that’s why that journalist came to meet me with a bouquet. She went straight to my husband Himalaya and said there are reports of your wife having an affair with Salman Khan and she has just given birth to a child, how are you feeling?
Bhagyashree further said in the interview with Siddharth Kanan, ‘I was absolutely shocked to hear the words of that journalist. No one had ever spoken to me like this. That journalist said this just a day after the birth of my child. During the shooting of Maine Pyar Kiya, Salman used to treat her like a gentleman. There was no relation between him and me. I was wondering how in this world people can speak so badly about someone.
Bhagyashree further said, ‘I was so upset with this that I stopped ordering film magazines at my home. Stopped reading film news. After this I decided to stay away from the cinematic world. Bhagyashree married childhood friend Himalaya Dasani in 1990 at the age of just 19. Bhagyashree’s parents were against this marriage, but they did not agree. Bhagyashree and Himalaya had two children. Her son Abhimanyu is an actor.
