Even after giving a blockbuster film like Gadar in 2001, Sunny Deol stopped getting work. Sunny said that there was a change in cinema after Gadar. The industry was taken over by corporate houses.

The Hindi film industry was transformed into Bollywood. Projects started dwindling. Due to all these reasons, Sunny Deol did not get much work after Gadar. However, now after 22 years its second part has also created history. Gadar-2 has become the third highest-grossing film in Hindi film history.

Sunny Deol is enjoying the success of Gadar-2 these days. Meanwhile, in an interview given to BBC UK, he has said some shocking things. Sunny said- Today I am here among you, so only because of my work. After Gadar, I was not doing any big film. Wasn’t working with big people and big companies. I wanted to work with new filmmakers at that time. Today they all are very happy for me.

Sunny would like to say here that he did not get a chance to work with big production houses after Gadar. Even big production houses shied away from working with him. Instead, Sunny started working with new and smaller filmmakers. Although Sunny’s films did not work.

Sunny further said- I am such a person who does not get sad thinking of bad times. I know that the cycle of time goes on. Everyone faces good and bad times. I just want to keep the good memories with me leaving the bad memories behind.

Everyone knows how Gadar performed at the box office. This film is still in people’s mind. Perhaps this is the reason why so much craze is being seen for its second part. We can say that not because of Sunny Deol, but because of Gadar’s legacy, Part-2 has become such a big blockbuster.

If we look at the record of Sunny Deol’s last few films, then the film ‘Chup’ released in 2022 had a lifetime collection of Rs 9.75 crore. The film ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ released in 2019 had an overall collection of Rs 7.95 crore. Another sequel film ‘Ghayal-Once Again’ released in 2016 took an opening of 7.20 crores. The lifetime collection of the film was Rs 35.7 crore. This film also flopped.
