In this first look, the film’s lead actor and director Rishabh Shetty is seen in an avatar like Lord Shiva. Her intense look in the teaser is being highly praised on social media. The makers have released this teaser in 7 languages (Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali and English). It is expected that the film will also be released in 7 languages.
Apart from this teaser, the makers have also shared a poster of the film. In this, Rishabh is seen holding a trident in one hand and an ax in the other. Rishabh and Saptami Gowda will be in lead roles in Kantara Chapter 1. Apart from this, artists like Urvashi Rautela and Kishore will also be seen.
Earlier, ‘Kantara’ had become the fourth highest grossing film of the country in 2022. It also became the second highest-grossing film of Kannada cinema after ‘KGF 2’. If reports are to be believed, the budget of Kantara’s prequel is 7 times more than its first part. Where its first part was made for only 16 crores. The budget of this prequel is estimated to be Rs 125 crore.
The prequel of the film will focus on the story of Panjurli Daiva. Earlier in Kantara, two gods named Panjurli and Gulia have been mentioned. The film also depicted the practice of Daiva Kola celebrated in rural areas of Karnataka.
