22 years after the release of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, actor Sunny Deol is once again going to return to the theaters as Tara Singh on August 11. In such a situation, these days the actor is very busy in the promotion of his film.
In the past, Sunny had reached Kapil Sharma’s show as a guest. During this, the actor narrated an interesting anecdote about Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. He also said that he is feeling very nervous and excited about Gadar 2. Recalling the 22-year-old film, Sunny said that when Gadar was released, the entire Bollywood was against the film.
In fact, during the show, Kapil Sharma asked Sunny Deol how he was feeling before the release of the film. Sunny said on this – I am excited as well as nervous. When Gadar was released, the industry rejected it.
Sunny further said- ‘But the audience gave a lot of love to the film. The film became a hit and everything changed after that. Archana was shocked to hear this from Sunny… while the audience sitting on the show cheered up the actor.
Gadar is one of the important films of Sunny’s career. Before the release of Gadar 2, the makers re-released Gadar 1 in theaters on 15 June. Sunny Deol also reached the premiere of the film. During this, the actor had told that when Gadar was released, the entire industry was against him at that time. Many people had also advised Sunny to get the dialogues of this film dubbed.
Remembering this, he had said- ‘When Gadar was released, we did not know at all that the film would really create a mutiny. People used to call it a Punjabi film… Many people suggested dubbing it in Hindi.
Sunny had told in the interview that Gadar was not even getting distributors. He said- ‘Many distributors even told me that I will not buy this film. Due to this we had to face many problems during the release of the film. Sunny further said – The public gave so much love to this film that everyone’s mouth stopped. The excellent response to the film only gave us the courage to make its second part.
