It’s been six weeks since the release of Shahrukh Khan’s film Jawan, yet its earnings are not showing any signs of slowing down. The film has done a total domestic business of Rs 635.71 crore so far.
It has collected Rs 577.85 crore only in Hindi language. The film earned Rs 2.13 crore on Sunday. These figures are for all languages combined. Talking about worldwide collection, Jawan has done a business of Rs 1138 crore till now.
Generally it is seen that many films die by the third-fourth week. However, this is not the case with the young man. It has been 40 days since the film was released, yet its earnings are increasing everyday.
Its figures on Sunday were shocking. Despite the craze of Akshay Kumar’s film Mission Raniganj, Fukrey-3 and World Cup, Jawan collected more than Rs 2 crore on Sunday. This in itself shows the success of the film.
The year 2023 was historic for Bollywood films. The condition of Hindi films was bad after Covid. The films were yearning for good earnings at the box office. However, the year started with Shahrukh Khan’s film Pathan.
After this, in August, Sunny Deol’s film Gadar 2 also broke Pathan’s record by making unexpected earnings. Jawan, released in September, broke the records of both Gadar 2 and Pathan and became the highest-grossing Hindi film.
