After a long wait, the trailer of Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse is finally out. This time Spiderman’s character Miles Morales will be seen in a different style in the film. Along with this film, for the first time India’s own Spiderman – Pavitra Prabhakar will also be seen.
The Hollywood franchise film ‘Spiderman’ will have a PAN India release this time in 10 Indian languages. It is shown in the trailer of ‘Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse’ that this time Spiderman is not only responsible for saving the world but this time Spiderman also has to save every Spiderman and Spider-Woman present in the multiverse.
In the trailer, Miles Morales’ entry is seen in the multiverse. Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland were seen together in the 2021 Spider-Man film. Now their fictional animated characters will be seen together in this film. The film will see Indian Spiderman Pavitra Prabhakar leaping through the streets of Mumbai.
On June 2, Sony Pictures Entertainment India will release Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi and Punjabi. Speaking to the media, Shawny Registration, General Manager and Head, Sony Pictures Releasing International, said that Spider-Man is India’s most loved superhero.
With the release of this film, the Spiderman Universe will be linked to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One character each from both universes, Tom Holland and Doctor Strange, have been warned of the consequences of messing with the multiverse. The previous Spider-Man may also appear in this film in a cameo role.
Joaquim Dos Santos, Camp Powers and Justin K Thompson have directed ‘Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse’. Oscar winners Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and David Colham do voice-overs for the animated version. Karan Soni will lend his voice to Pavitra Prabhakar in the Indian avatar.
